Thanks to you, during the last year, awareness and acceptance of the benefits of veganism have continued to grow. Right here in Philadelphia, for example, we've seen the launch of the nationally-acclaimed Vedge restaurant and have enjoyed a growing reputation as a vegan destination.
New Vegan Age has become a great way to connect with thousands of people about veganism and to strengthen our vegan community. Many of you contributed to the World Vegan Day fundraiser supporting Farm Sanctuary; four contributing writers now offer different perspectives on our growing movement; and we have "a full plate" in the coming year, including more interviews, commentary on current events, and promotion of World Vegan Day 2012.
If you haven't yet had a chance to read some of the most popular posts from our first year, please take a moment to meet Dreena Burton, review a Vegan Credo, find out why it's not strange to keep dirt from your grave on your fridge, and see if you agree that 10% of us will be vegan by the year 2050. Thanks! And let's hope this year—the second of our New Vegan Age—is even more fulfilling and challenging than the first!
Congratulations on your one year birthday! I've enjoyed your site so much--so many great resources, which is why I nominated you guys for the One Lovely Blog Award! http://epicureanvegan.com/2012/06/26/one-lovely-blog-award/
